The music department of the Faculty of Reformed Theology was founded in the year 2003 to serve those who would like to continue their studies in Hungarian in the field of music in Transylvania. Admission is not dependent on prior music training. Students who possess entry-level music skills are aided by our staff to reach proficiency during their studies.
Our students receive full rights pertaining to students in higher education, namely the right to accommodation in student housing facilities, the right to scholarships, internships abroad through our Erasmus exchange partnerships. We are continuously working on expanding our networks for the benefit of our students.
Our facilities include 4000 titles of specialized literature including sheet music, journals and books; an audition room; IT lab; rehearsal rooms; modern musical equipment and quality instruments. The teaching staff of our faculty is comprised of experienced professionals, who facilitate excellent relationships with several cultural establishments in Cluj-Napoca, such as the Academy of Music, Hungarian State Opera, and other Vocational High Schools. Having access to these prestigious institutes contributes significantly to widening the professional career choices of our students.
